Ingredients
  • 3/4 Cup Red lentils dry
  • 1 Onion diced
  • 1 Clove Garlic minced
  • 2 Tomatoes diced (or 1 can diced tomatoes with juices)
  • 4 Cups Broth
  • 2 tsp Harissa spice*
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 2 TBS Olive oil
  • 1 TBS Lemon juice
Ingredients
  • 3/4 Cup Red lentils dry
  • 1 Onion diced
  • 1 Clove Garlic minced
  • 2 Tomatoes diced (or 1 can diced tomatoes with juices)
  • 4 Cups Broth
  • 2 tsp Harissa spice*
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 2 TBS Olive oil
  • 1 TBS Lemon juice
Instructions
  1. Place all of the ingredients in a slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours, depending on your slow cooker and how mushy you want it. You will know it is ready to be eaten when the beans are very soft, almost melting. You can play around with the amount of liquid if you like it more stew-y or soup-y.
  2. Serve with crusty bread and topped with your favorite condiments: olive oil, scallions, chopped parsley, chopped hard boiled egg, smoked paprika etc.
